Women and Gentlemen, may I present to you… . (*various trumpets sound and pigeons fly*)… King Pantry! Why has our wash room earned such a grand title? Since it's wearing some crown… When we completed our kitchen reno a year ago we chose to do without any crown forming on the highest point of our wash room, microwave cupboard, and ice chest since we kinda enjoyed the perfect, advanced look of the square edge (we held some remaining embellishment up and it didn't look extraordinary to us so we checked that off our rundown and fashioned on to different ventures). However, now that we've been taking a gander at the live with new eyes – having repainted the dividers and refaced the chimney – AND having become over my dread of introducing crown forming on account of my new BFF, the nail weapon (perhaps that is the genuine reason we skipped it a year ago?)… we chose to rethink. So we held up a scrap bit of crown to one of the cupboards and had a totally unique response this time. It wasn't a no, it was a letsdothisthing. The uplifting news is that it was entirely simple and just took us around three hours to finish. We began off by joining some scrap 1 x 2″ (extra from the chimney work) to the highest points of the cupboards with the nail weapon and some wood stick, similar to so: This additional tallness gave more surface to the crown to lean against, since our bureau entryways leave little space above them. At the end of the day, this would permit the crown to join safely without looking moronic near the entryways. At that point we gauged (twice), cut, and introduced the trim precisely the same we that did our roof. You can read a bundle of well ordered tips on that here, however we basically simply utilized our Kreg Crown Pro (here's an associate connection to the one we acquired) and our miter saw to slice our embellishment to the right points and after that utilized our nail weapon (here's a partner connection to the one we purchased) to join the trim to the scrap wood that we added to the highest points of every upper bureau.
